We had a great first week back in kindergarten. We celebrated the new year with some fireworks. See our beautiful artwork below.
Today we celebrated the 100th day of school. We took part in many fun activities such as: doing 100 exercises, cup stacking with 100 cups, building with 100 blocks, colouring 100 objects, putting 100 sprinkles (stickers) on a cupcake, and more! Don't forget that tomorrow is our 100th day fashion show. Please send in your child's t-shirt.
Our 100th day will be on Monday. We look forward to the celebration! Don't forget that our Author Celebration is tomorrow, February 12th, beginning at 12:30pm. The children are very excited to share their story with everyone.
Wednesday was Inside Out day in kindergarten. As part of our Fun Friends Program we have been learning all about our feelings. ☺ Mr. Hilchey, our guidance counselor, gave a presentation on feelings and we watched part of the movie Inside Out. It was a fun day for all!
Today was our Q&U wedding. The children had so much fun. Mr. Q and Mrs. U received some lovely wedding gifts including a quilt, a question mark, and a signed picture of the queen! We had apple juice and cupcakes during the reception and a dance to follow. Q&U will be together forever! Today at our CARE assembly Mr. Blucher drew names from those who had returned their Family Literacy ballots. We had 4 winner's in kindergarten. Congratulations to Sean, Elliott, Washel, and Ben.
