The winner of our draw is Basil Grasse. He has won $208. Congratulations!
We are still looking for parent volunteers to help sell 50/50 tickets tomorrow evening. We need someone from 3:30-4:00 and again from 6:00-6:30. If you are able to help out please let us know. Thank-you.
Today we learned about ABC patterns. The kids had fun making patterns with snap cubes, links, animal counters, and pattern blocks. Last week was Kindness Week at Island View School. The students took part in several activities including a presentation from our guidance counselor (anti-bulling strategies), purple day (in support of pay it forward), zumba, pj day (put bullying to bed), and more. Check out some photos from our week. In kindergarten we are learning how to label our pictures with beginning and ending sounds. To practice, we gave each student a few sticky notes and a marker and told them to label anything and everything in the classrooms and kindergarten hallway. The students had so much fun! Don't forget that tomorrow is pajama day. We are going to put bullying to bed!
Tomorrow is also day 50 of school. We have lots of fun activities planned to celebrate our 50th day! Thank you to everyone who donated money for UNUCEF. Our school raised over $1300!
